Lovely Bloodflow

This was probably one of the worst nights of my life. It seemed like a great idea for a girls sleepover to go to the basement and paint each other! We wrapped ourselves and just started splattering. Everything was fine until we tried taking it off only to find out that the RED paint, that had been disguised as acrylic, was actually oil. Since red is my favorite color I had the most, and thus spent the most time crying in the bath tub scrubbing my skin off. I looked like a murder victim. My friends were great though and helped scrub my back with dish soap:}

Terrible Thing #2 that happened: RIGHT after I had finished editing 25 or so shots from this night my external hard drive crashed. I lost all but these, and over half of my photos in existence. Sad Story. Sad Night.

  1. Terribly dreadful, losing all your work! I did some shoots this summer and was nearly ready to upload them, when -... my whole computer did something marvelous, I mean, in the (marvel at something so horribly wrong) sense of the word - and I cried. But then I decided to cut my hair, trim my beard, throw on a topcoat and reshoot the whole thing as a new man. D: I really wonder though... was that one shot, the one I know I'd grow to love, among the digital rubble of that debacle? Probably. But only God knows for sure, so, I guess I'll find out when I die and go to heaven. :DD

  4. Sounds like a day for some choice swears. I've lost some stuff off a memory card from an unrepeatable event but was able to save SOME of them using this free program: http://www.piriform.com/recuva

    I'm not saying it will work for you but I'd give it a try. I've learned my lesson with backups though and now and I don't feel safe until an image is in at least two locations.

  11. OH NOOOOO! I hate the thought of losing my photos! I totally understand how you feel! And my goodness, oil paint can be a bitch! I am in a painting major at college and I hate using oil paints the most!!!! And i'm sorry but I was amused when you said "spent the most time crying in the bath tub scrubbing my skin off"! I had to do that too months ago when I had to do my paintings for school!
